For four months, the halls, emergency rooms and operating tables of Children’s Hospital Boston were captured by videographers as they filmed hundreds of hours of footage for the upcoming ABC News documentary series, Boston Med.
Boston Med, which airs June 24 at 10 p.m. on ABC, takes viewers inside three of the nation’s leading hospitals for an in-depth look at the lives of patients, their families and the medical professionals who treat them. The Boston Globe recently profiled the series and noted its ability to “bring viewers inside high-stakes medical drama,” by capturing the pace of life in some of the world’s most elite medical institutions, both in and out of the emergency room.
The show will air as an eight-part series throughout the summer. Following select episodes, Thrive will have exclusive interviews with the medical professionals featured on the program. Watch the show and remember to check back for a behind-the-scenes look at the filming process and insight on what it was like for Children’s medical provider to perform in front of the camera.
